If you are an adult who is legally allowed to own a firearm, you may participate in Oklahoma conceal carry (or open carry). However, if you would like to obtain an Oklahoma CCW permit in order to travel with a firearm to states with reciprocity agreements, you may still do so through your local sheriff’s office.
To get your Oklahoma CCW permit, you will first need to complete a firearms training course, which Concealed Coalition can help you do. Upon completion of our Oklahoma CCW permit training course, you will receive a certificate signifying that you have gotten the appropriate training. This certificate will serve as proof of your training when you go through the official application process for your Oklahoma conceal carry permit.
But what does training with Concealed Coalition entail?
A training course with Concealed Coalition isn’t just your average concealed carry class. Regardless of if this is your first time picking up a firearm or if you’re an old pro at your local range, there’s something for everyone in our training. During training, we make sure to emphasize the basics of safe firearm handling, storage, and operation, as well as covering more advanced aspects of self-defense, such as situational awareness and interaction with law enforcement as a carrier.
As a gun owner who intends to participate in Oklahoma conceal carry, it is also essential to know and understand the legal nuances of carrying a concealed weapon. Not knowing the laws in your area does not qualify as an excuse for not following them, which is why we’ve created state-specific lessons to ensure that our students stay up to date on all relevant regulations.
Our team of highly-experienced trainers utilizes scenario-based teaching tactics, presenting students with realistic situations that they could be faced with as firearm carriers. We believe this method of instruction is more impactful and will lead to better retention of the skills learned and drilled in class.
But don’t just take our word for it! Here’s what one of our students from Oklahoma City had to say about our Oklahoma CCW permit certification course:
“Class was very informational on gun terminology and OK laws concerning Concealed Carry. Also thought the live fire time was educational concerning all aspects of gun safety.” -Douglas S.
