Ignored Again! – Mr. McConnell when can we expect to see the Senate debate the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2017?
On March 1st 2017 national reciprocity for concealed carry was introduced to the Senate. 45 weeks later it still hasn't been discussed on the Senate floor. What the hold up is, who knows? Of course there is an argument that more important matters have taken precedence over debating national reciprocity for concealed carry but the wait is getting to be grewling for gun advocates.
There is the theory that behind the scenes lobbyists and Senators are working out the vote count issue with the Senate being expected to be a much tighter margin on votes than the House of Representatives proved to be back in December. If this is the case, things could get worse before they get better with the political tone things are taking across the US. With such a tight margin of votes in the Senate just 1 or 2 seats could be the determining factor in pass or fail.
